WhatsApp messages: WhatsApp users can now make messages disappear automatically after 24 hours, 7 days, or 90 Days Mark Zuckerberg.
WhatsApp is adding new features to its disappearing messages and letting users make chat messages automatically deleted after a specified period.
According to Meta Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg on Facebook, WhatsApp users now can disable messages to be automatically deleted for all new chats with one another, meaning that future messages will be deleted automatically out of the service.
The Meta-owned messaging service has also announced that it will give users more choices before messages are deleted. When the feature was first introduced in November of last year, users had only the possibility of deleting messages within seven days.
As time goes on, there will be the option of eliminating the messages after one day or after 90 days. The new feature was previously announced as being in the process of being developed.
WhatsApp has confirmed that turning off disappearing messages in default mode won’t alter existing chats.
If you begin an individual chat, an alert will pop up to indicate that the disappearing messages feature is on, along with a message that states it’s turned on by default (so people who are in contact with you don’t feel that it’s personal). There’s also the option to turn off the setting for chats with only one person.
While this new setting does not alter chats between groups, WhatsApp said it’s added an option for creating groups that allow you to enable the feature of disappearing messages.
WhatsApp said that its new capabilities are currently available for all mobile platforms. Instructions on using these features will found on the FAQ page.
