Xiaomi finally unveiled the highly anticipated Mi TV Stick at this year’s global ecosystem product launch event. Similar to the Amazon Fire TV Stick, the recently released Mi TV stick is a portable streaming device that connects to a TV via an HDMI port. Users with the My TV Stick can stream movies and shows from Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney Hotstar +, and more. It also comes with the built-in Google Assistant and Chromecast. Also, My TV ships with Bluetooth remote control.
My TV Stick Price
The global price of Mi TV Stick starts at 39.99 euros (approximately 3,400 rupees) for the single 1080p variant. The Chinese tech giant has yet to reveal its availability details.
Xiaomi has not yet clarified the details of the launch of Mi TV Stick in India. More information from the company is expected in the coming days.
My TV Stick specifications, features
The new thrown out My TV Stick in terms of its design resembles the Amazon Fire TV Stick. It comes in black, and the Mi TV Stick remote adopts even the same color option.
Xiaomi’s portable streaming device is powered by a quad-core CPU, along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. Run the Android TV operating system without My TV Patchwall on top. The Mi TV Stick also supports Dolby Audio and DTS sound format.
It also supports videos with Full-HD resolution (1,080×1,920 pixels) at 60 fps. The portable streaming device comes with the pre-installed Netflix and Amazon Prime app that can be accessed directly through dedicated buttons on the Mi TV Stick remote control.
There is also a dedicated Google Assistant button on the remote control to enable voice commands. As mentioned, the new Mi TV stick features Chromecast built-in. With this, users can view photos, videos, and more directly from their Android smartphone to the TV screen.
