Nawab Malik Arrested

The Special PMLA court sent Maharashtra the minister and NCP head Nawab Malik into Enforcement Directorate custody till March 3rd in connection with the Dawood Ibrahim money laundering case.

Nawab Malik was produced before the Special PMLA court in Mumbai the day before.

“ED officials visited my home in the early morning, brought me into the ED office, where they detained me, and then recorded my declaration. They handed me a summons within the ED office and demanded that I sign the document,” Malik had said in the Court.

Malik was detained today by the Enforcement Directorate.

According to reports, Malik was not cooperating in the interrogation.

Shortly after his arrest, Malik’s leader stated that he was not scared and would prevail.

ED called Malik as an accused money laundering case involving the underworld figure Dawood Ibrahim.

The previous week, the ED conducted raids at Dawood Ibrahim’s home Haseena Parkar located in Mumbai, to the money-laundering investigation.

According to informed sources, investigations were guided through the ED at various locations connected to individuals associated with the underground in Mumbai.

The ED was also conducting searches in 10 areas related to the late Haseena Parkar, the sister to Dawood Ibrahim, in Nagpada.

The agency also interrogated Dawood’s nephew, Parkar’s son Alishah Parkar and Chota Shakeel’s henchman Salim Qureshi also known as Salim Fruits.
