Missing CRPF jawans in Bijapur in the custody of Maoists
One CRPF jawan has been missing since clashes with Maoists in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh. The search for him has been going on since Saturday. But the search did not match. On Monday, a phone call suddenly claimed that the jawan was in the custody of the Maoists.
The call came to a local journalist in Bijapur on Monday. From the other end, it is said, “I am Hidma.” This Hidma is the top Maoist leader. While searching for him, 22 soldiers died in the end. Rakeshwar Manhas, a resident of Jammu, went missing. On the phone that came in the name of Hidma, it was said that the jawan is in their custody, he is fine. Rakesh was said to be in the custody of the Maoists, but no release was demanded.
No information was available as to whether the phone was really hijacked or where it came from. There was no official word from the security forces. However, the problem with this ‘mortgage’ is that it can be more complicated.
Meanwhile, CRPF officials met Rakesh’s family. Promised to bring Rakesh back at any cost. He also gave a video message on behalf of Rakeshwar’s wife Minu. She appealed to the Maoists to return her without any harm to her husband.
Meenu, the jawan’s wife, appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to make arrangements to bring her husband back unharmed. Meanwhile, Amit Shah went to Raipur and paid homage to the dead soldiers. He also said that there will be continuous operations against the Maoists.
