MS Dhoni Passes CSK's Captaincy To Ravindra Jadeja

Mahendra Singh Dhoni has handed the captaincy of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to Ravindra Jadeja ahead of the fifteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). 

The announcement comes just two days before CSK starts their campaign in the IPL against Kolkata Knight Riders in Mumbai in the season’s opening game in the Wankhede Stadium.

CSK purchased dhoni during the first year in 2008 has guided CSK to four championships in his 12 years as captain. In the time of Dhoni, CSK established itself as the most reliable franchise in the league. They qualified for the playoffs every year except for one.

“MS Dhoni has decided to transfer the reigns of Chennai Super Kings and picked Ravindra Jadeja as the new leader of CSK,” was the official CSK announcement. “Jadeja has been integral to Chennai Super Kings since 2012 has been the third person to head CSK.

“Dhoni continues to be a part of the Chennai Super Kings this season and beyond,” the release added.

Before IPL 2022, CSK has kept MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Moeen Ali, and Ruturaj Gaikwad in the year that is to come.
