Muslim Rashtriya Manch demands punishment for Udaipur tailor’s killers: Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) called those who murdered a tailor in Udaipur “terrorists and demons.”
The RSS-linked group stated the perpetrators of the “barbaric” event “disgraced” Islam and “shamed” “peaceful” Muslims in India and elsewhere.
“The Manch is appalled by such a horrible murder.”
On Tuesday, two men armed with a cleaver reportedly murdered Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur’s Dhan Mandi neighbourhood. They uploaded videos online saying they were avenging an “insult to Islam,” provoking sporadic incidences of violence in the Rajasthan city, which was put under curfew.
In a video, one of the perpetrators said they “beheaded” the guy and threatened Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Manch urges terrible punishment for these terrorists and villains. Their wicked crime demands execution by hanging. The government should create a fast-speed court for the trial, “added.
Riaz Akhtari reportedly cut at the tailor’s neck, and Ghouse Mohammad, who allegedly recorded the incident, has been arrested.
