An apathetic incident happened in Zakir Hussain Hospital in Nashik, Maharashtra. Twenty-two people, all of them Covid-19 patients died due to an oxygen tank leakage in Nashik, Maharashtra, on Wednesday. According to Nashik district collector, Suraj Mandhare said cut off supply after a leak in one of the storage tanker trucks at Dr. Zakir Hussain Municipal Hospital. All the victims used ventilators and required a constant supply of oxygen. Zakir Hussain Hospital is a facility dedicated to Covid. About 150 patients were dependent on oxygen or ventilators. But, this incident already took 22 life by Nashik Oxygen Leak in Zakir Hussain Hospital.
The footage showed a gas leak from the tanker outside the hospital and dense white fumes rapidly blanketing the area.
Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope promised that the government would look into the matter and carry out a thorough investigation.
