Netflix and Universal are working on an animated adaptation of Scott Pilgrim: Netflix and Universal Studio Group’s Universal Content Productions develop an animated adaption of Bryan Lee’s beloved Scott Pilgrim graphic novel series.

A film adaptation of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World produced by Edgar Wright release in 2010. 

The film features Michael Cera as the titular Scott Pilgrim and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Brie Larson, and more.

Wright spoke of the possibility of an anime production for 2020, saying “some plans to revisit the material animatedly.”

The animation rewrites to the opening chapter in Book 2, introducing the live-action film.
