Nine people killed at Halloween party in Texarkana

Nine people were killed at a Halloween party in Texarkana.

TEXARKANA – Nine people were shot and one seriously injured at a Halloween party on Saturday night.

According to police, an emergency call came just before midnight for a shooting at the Octavia Activity Center in the 2300 block of Texas Blvd. There were more than 200 people there for a Halloween party at the time the suspect opened fire.

When the police arrived, fights broke out at the scene. It is not yet known if the suspect was a partygoer before the shooting.

Nine people were shot, 1 is seriously injured. Five are being treated at Wadley Regional Medical Center, 4 of them at CHRISTUS St. Michael Hospital. Some of the injured went to the hospital.

Currently, the police do not have any suspects in custody.
