Nirmala Sitharaman Invites Silicon Valley to India for a "Unique Opportunity"

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was in Silicon Valley when she asked investors to be a part of India’s growth story and asked the US to work together on financial services and new technologies.

Financial technology (fintech) is a great way to make sure that everyone has a chance to grow, she said at a meeting of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the US Chamber of Commerce’s US-India Business Council (USIBC).

In the next few years, India is likely to keep being the fastest-growing major economy globally, thanks to the growth of its technology and start-up ecosystems.

“The financial sector in India has recently undergone changes led by the PM and the FM. They should look at India as a place to start a new business or expand an existing one, and they should work with us and grow together “.

Keshap said that the discussion made clear that new technology in fintech will be essential to reaching the goal of $500 billion in annual trade between the United States and India.

“It was a meeting of global experts in these fields, and they came up with a big plan for how fintech can make the Indo-Pacific a free and prosperous place. There are a lot of people who are working hard to make that vision come true, and I think they’re doing a great job of it! “He said that.

“Investors have many options in India because it is a place where new ideas are born, and there is a strong start-up community. Indians use a lot of financial technology, and it’s one of the fastest-growing markets in the world. By 2023, the value of transactions is expected to reach $138 billion, about 20% more than in 2017, “Mr. Shah said.

Because of Finance Minister Sitharaman’s leadership, he said India has kept growing quickly even after COVID-19 and global conflicts. Round table attendees who want to invest in India’s growing fintech market have high hopes for its continued success.
