Amid a steady decrease in Covid-19 instances, The Delhi Disaster Management Authority
(DDMA) has decided to ease a few restrictions related to Covid, including the curfew for
weekends in Delhi, the capital of India.
However, the curfew for nighttime remains in place at present.
DDMA decided in an assembly chaired by the lieutenant governor Anil Baijal to look into the
situation of Covid-19 at Delhi the city on Thursday.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who was absent, attended the meeting.
Following a specific order issued through the DDMA In a detailed order passed by the
DDMA, the following guidelines have been updated:
There will be no “Weekend Curfew` on the mobility of people in the NCT in Delhi.
Night Curfew: 10 pm until 5 am every day, for all people in the NCT of Delhi will remain in
effect in the NCT of Delhi. NCT of Delhi until any further instructions.
Delhi Government offices are expected to be operating with a capacity of 50 percent.
All offices of the Government of the NCT of Delhi / Local Bodies must be staffed by officials
of Grade-I/equivalent or more significant in 100 percent force.
All essential services must function without restriction, i.e., 100% strength. In markets,
markets complexes, malls, and all establishments that deal in products and services that
are not essential to the business must be permitted to be open from 10 AM and 8 PM with
no restriction on odd-even.
Cinema halls, theatres, and theaters are allowed up to 50% sealing capacity, subject to
strict compliance with the standard operating procedure.
Restaurants will be permitted up to 50 percent of their seating capacity between 8 AM and
10 PM.
Bars are allowed up to 50 percent of seating capacity between 12 noon to 10 pm.
The wedding-related gatherings will be permitted up to 50% Wedding Hall capacity:
Banquet Hall assembly Hall, Venue with a ceiling of 200 Banquet Halls for 200 people.
Funeral-related gatherings are permitted to be permitted for up to 100 guests.
The school’s reopening will be considered at the next DDMA meeting.
Delhi Metro update
The officials said that Delhi Metro services on weekends would resume as per the regular
schedule starting on Saturday due to the ease of restrictions due to the improvement in
Covid conditions within the metropolis.
Cases of Covid-19
Delhi on Friday recorded 444 new cases of Covid-19 and 25 deaths.
The positive rate fell slightly to 8.6 percent in the data released by the city’s health
department.
This means that the total number of capital cases in the national capital grew to 17,641,41,
and the death toll increased to 25,769.
According to the figures included in a news release, the number of tests for Covid-19 that
were conducted on the same day stood at 47,042.
