North Korea will launch satellites to monitor the U.S. and its allies

North Korea will launch satellites to monitor the U.S. and its allies.

Seol: Leader Kim Jong Un told state media on Thursday that North Korea will launch many reconnaissance satellites in the next few years to get real-time information on what the United States and its allies are doing in the world.

Kim said that “a lot” of military reconnaissance satellites would be put into sun-synchronous polar orbit during a five-year plan announced last year, state news agency KCNA said.

Developing and operating a military reconnaissance satellite is essential because it will give the DPRK’s armed forces real-time information about military actions by the US imperialists and their allies in South Korea, Japan, and the Pacific, he said. The news agency said that.

There’s a good chance that North Korea is about to launch a reconnaissance satellite, which could be just as controversial as the country’s nuclear weapons tests because they use the same banned ballistic missile technology, experts say.

Satellite tests took place on February 27 and March 5. North Korea says it did both of these tests. Officials in South Korea, Japan, and the United States say that ballistic missiles were used in the tests.

People worldwide were angry about the launches, and the US military said on Thursday that it had increased surveillance and reconnaissance in the Yellow Sea.

The United States also said that it had raised its ballistic missile defense readiness after North Korea did a “significant” number of missile tests.

Kim said that the satellite work was not just about getting information but also about protecting North Korea’s sovereignty and national interests, exercising its legitimate rights to self-defense, and raising North Korea’s national prestige, according to KCNA.

People’s Daily News Agency: “He said that this urgent project to improve the country’s war preparedness by strengthening the state’s war deterrent is the most important thing for our Party and government to do.”

The United States and its allies have said that North Korea’s previous space launches have broken U.N. Security Council resolutions that have put sanctions on the country because of its nuclear and missile programs.
