On Saturday, Congress has convened a conference of General Secretaries and in-charges to discuss various topics, including organizational elections.
The meeting will be led by General Secretary (organization) KC Venugopal. All of the general secretaries and in-charges from the All India Congress Committee will be there, and they will be in charge of the meeting.

Special Membership Drive, Organizational Elections, and agitational programs are on the agenda for the meeting.
The Congress party’s so-called G-23 leaders have pressed for internal reforms, including organizational elections.
It was part of Sonia Gandhi’s efforts to get the party back together after losing five states in the recent Assembly elections. On Tuesday, she met with G23 leaders Anand Sharma, Manish Tewari, and Vivek Tankha at her New Delhi home.
It’s said that Sonia Gandhi told a meeting of G-23 leaders that the necessary changes will be made after party leaders vote in August and September.
In quoting Sonia Gandhi, the sources said: “It will be over by August or September. Spend time on that. I can only make some changes by then.”
At the polls last month, five states went to the polls. The Congress lost in all five of them.
