The first phase of elections for 38 assembly seats in Manipur was held on February 28.
The second phase, covering 22 seats, is set for March 5.
In the second phase, there will be a lot of attention paid to 11 constituencies in the state’s hilly areas, where the Naga tribe has a lot of power.

The BJP is running in all 11 seats in the Naga-dominated areas.
The BJP is taking on its allies, the NPF, who are running alone, and the Congress’s longtime rival.
Manipur’s first assembly election for 38 seats in five districts took place on February 28.
The election took place in Imphal West, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Kangpokpi, and Churachandpur and covered 38 seats.
In the first phase, the Election Commission of India says that 88.63% of voters came out to vote.
Counting votes will start on March 10, and it will end on March 10.
