One Leopard Entered a school and attacks a student in Uttar Pradesh.

A leopard entered a school in Aligarh of Uttar Pradesh and attacked a student before being locked in a classroom on Wednesday.

The incident, which took place at the Chaudhary Nihal Singh Inter College in Aligarh, caused quite a stir among a crowd gathered outside the school as staff waited for forest officials to remove the leopard.

“When I entered the classroom, I saw that there was a leopard. The moment I turned around, the animal attacked me and bit me on the arm and back,” said Lucky Raj Singh, the student who was attacked by the animal.

He suffered minor injuries and is now out of the hospital.

“A leopard entered the campus as students arrived this morning. A student was attacked by an animal. The injured child was rushed to a government hospital and received treatment. He is now home and well,” Yogesh Yadav said, director, Chaudhary Nihal Singh Inter College.

The director said the big cat was locked up and authorities reported.

“The leopard is at the university in room 10. The forest authorities were informed. The local police station was also informed. We have been monitoring the animal via CCTV,” he said.

The images showed the animal prowling the closed classroom. A group of people were seen standing on high walls around the school campus trying to figure out what happened.
