Operation Ganga: Ninth flight carrying 218 Indian Students leaves from Bucharest. 

Under Operation Ganga, the ninth flight carrying 218 Indian nationals stranded in Bucharest, Romania, arrived in New Delhi.

In a tweet, Jaishankar said: “We won’t stop until our Indian friends are safe. The ninth flight in Operation Ganga leaves Bucharest for New Delhi with 218 Indian nationals on board.”

Another flight from Bucharest with 182 Indian nationals left late on Monday night. They were going to Mumbai.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi told a high-level meeting about the Ukraine crisis on Monday night that the government is working around the clock to ensure that all Indians living there are safe and secure. A spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs said this.

He held a second high-level meeting about the situation in Ukraine during this day, and he also chaired this one.

On Monday, government sources said that the “Special Envoys” include Union Ministers Hardeep Singh Puri, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Kiren Rijiju, and Gen (Retd) VK Singh, will travel to Ukraine’s neighboring countries to help coordinate the evacuation of Indians who have been stranded there.

PM: The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) met in New Delhi on February 24 to discuss the Ukraine crisis.

People stranded in Ukraine are being brought back home by “Operation Ganga,” which is being run by the Indian government. Air India is running “Operation Ganga,” which means special flights are being run.

On Monday, India’s Ministry of External Affairs said that more than 8,000 Indians had been evacuated since the country first warned about the dangers. 

It was also said that the six evacuation flights have arrived in India, bringing back about 1,400 people.
