On Tuesday, the Green Bay Packers announced that quarterback Aaron Rodgers had signed a contract extension a week after the reigning MVP stated he would stay with the team.
The Packers did not disclose the contract’s parameters, but according to NFL Network, Rodgers, who has spent his entire 17-year NFL career in Green Bay, would make $150 million over the next three years.
Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said in a statement, “We are very pleased to have been able to come to an agreement with Aaron that keeps him in Green Bay.”

“His contributions on the field and in the locker room will be critical in our quest for another Super Bowl victory. However, the arrangement also allows us to maintain and improve what we consider to be an already strong team.”
This month, Rodgers, 38, won his fourth and second consecutive NFL MVP awards after a brilliant 2021 season. He topped the league with a 111.9 passer rating while throwing for 4,115 yards and 37 touchdowns.
Rodgers’ contract extension comes only two days after seven-time Super Bowl champion quarterback Tom Brady announced his return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for his 23rd NFL season.
