Pakistan is the best team to beat India in India right now, they know Indian conditions pretty well: Brad Hogg

Former Chinese bowler from Australia Brad Hogg spoke again about an India-Pakistan series and this time he said that Pakistan is capable of beating India in its own backyard.

Brad Hogg said that Pakistan has all the ammunition necessary to demolish India in India. The 49-year-old added that Pakistan’s strong attack, good spinners, and depth of batting would help them on their march to victory in India.

“Well, I think the best team at the moment would be Pakistan because they have a very strong rhythm unit and some good spinners. They also got depth in their batting and know the Indian conditions pretty well,” Brad Hogg said on his YouTube Channel as Answer a question from a fan.

However, Brad Hogg realized that the Pakistan team would not be able to travel to India due to “governmental reasons” and therefore selected Australia as the “next best team” to beat India on the ground from India. Hogg, who played 123 ODI and 7 tests for Australia, said kangaroos currently have their best shot at winning a series of tests in India.

Brad Hogg opined that Australia with its powerful bowling line and hitters like David Warner, Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith have a golden opportunity to seal a victory in India.

“But they can’t go there for government reasons, so the next best team in Australia and I’m not being biased.” We have the likes of [David] Warner [Marnus] Labuschagne and Steve Smith. We have a very powerful batting lineup as well as a bowling lineup. I think if there is any chance that we will defeat India on Indian soil right now, it will be in the next few years, “Hogg said.

In particular, Australia last won a series of tests on Indian soil in 2004, while archrivals Pakistan won a series of tests of 2 or more matches in 1987.

Previously, Brad Hogg had supported a 4-match test series between India and Pakistan. He had said fans were starving for a series between India and Pakistan. Hogg had said that the pandemic has opened the door for the cricket’s definitive rebirth.

“First, he scraps India’s five-game series against Australia this summer and plays with the ashes,” he said.

“But where does that leave India? They will play Pakistan in a four-match test series, with two matches in India and two others in Pakistan, during the Christmas period. We haven’t seen it in a long time and the public is starving, “Hogg had said.

The former Kolkata Knight Riders player had added that the series would also help find the best hitter between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam. He had also painted pictures of the battles between the Indian and Pakistani bowlers.

“There are many reasons for this. First of all, [Virat] Kohli and Babar Azam, who is the better of those two? Well, that will be demonstrated in this series, ”he said.

“Then you have (Jasprit) Bumrah against (Shaheen Shah) Afridi, which means a quality bowling attack and then the spinners, Ravichandran (Ashwin) versus (Yasir) Shah and everything are in Asian condition.” Brilliant stuff, let’s have it! “Brad Hogg had said.
