Papers of Ambulance is fake of Mukhtar Ansari Submitted to Mohali court

A case was registered here after documents from an ambulance with an Uttar Pradesh registration number, used to transport politician-turned-gangster Mukhtar Ansari to a Mohali court, were determined to be false, authorities said Friday.

Mau’s BSP MLA, who is wanted in Uttar Pradesh for various cases, was brought before a Mohali court on March 31 in connection with an alleged extortion matter in 2019.

Amid tight security arrangements, Ansari was taken to court in a wheelchair. He was sent back to Punjab’s Rupnagar Jail in an ambulance after the appearance.

“After an initial investigation, it was discovered that the name and address provided for the ambulance registration were false. An additional trucking officer has registered an FIR in this regard against Dr. Alka Rai, whose name was given for the ambulance registration, ”said a senior police official here.

The FIR was registered under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 420 (forgery), 471 (fraudulent or dishonest use of documents as genuine), 467 (forgery of valuable securities) and 468 (forgery for the purpose of cheating. ).

Police Superintendent Yamuna Prasad said that following media reports that Ansari was presented to a court in Punjab in an ambulance bearing Barabanki’s registration number, police teams investigated the matter and found that documents such as the PAN, the electoral card with a photograph, and others were false.

The address at which these documents were made was also found to be incorrect, he said.

The Supreme Court had recently ordered the Punjab government to hand over custody of Ansari to the Uttar Pradesh police, saying he was being denied on trivial grounds under the guise of medical problems.

The high court had also said that a convict or a prisoner without trial, who disobeys the law of the land, cannot oppose his transfer from one prison to another and the courts should not be a helpless bystander when the rule of law is being challenged. with impunity.

The court had said that custody of Ansari, a BSP MLA from the Mau constituency, would be handed over to Uttar Pradesh within two weeks to be housed in the Banda District Jail in Uttar Pradesh.

The higher court had also noted that Ansari was allegedly involved in various attempted murder, deception, and conspiracy cases, in addition to the crimes under the Gangster Act, brought in Uttar Pradesh, and of these, 10 cases are at the trial stage.

Mukhtar Ansari’s wife has written to President Ram Nath Kovind, expressing her fear that he may be killed in a fake encounter while being transferred from Punjab to Uttar Pradesh following an order from the Supreme Court.

His brother, Ghazipur BSP MP Afzal Ansari told PTI: “In order to divert attention from the life threat to Mukhtar, the BJP government is making the wheelchair and ambulance a problem.”

“If the BJP is turning Mukhtar Ansari’s (2022) electoral agenda, we and our supporters will also make the government’s vindictive action against his family a problem,” he said.

Stating that Mukhtar Ansari has been ill for the past two years, his brother said that if there are any deficiencies in the ambulance documents, a fine could be imposed.
