It was quickly pushed off the charts when players quit the game to play for other reasons, and the latest delay of Battlefield 2042‘s seasonal content did not aid in any way. This review easily ranks Battlefield 2042 as one of the worst games in 2021. And now, players are requesting refunds.
To give background, Battlefield 2042 players appear to be seeking refunds incomplete similar to those who received refunds for the Cyberpunk 2077 launch. Battlefield 2042 might continue to get better identical to the previous game; however, the initial excitement has gone for many.
It’s not the game that advertises, and the hype see as a fake advertisement and has led to an appeal for Sony, Microsoft, Steam, DICE. And the Federal Trade Commission to allow refunds for any platform.
According to the Change.org petition (and published through Windows Central), Battlefield 2042has resulted in the loss of millions of dollars and irritated hundreds of thousands of players.
The petition cites various events since its release, including claims that it’s not playable and several major Battlefield 2042 bugs that affect the in-game experience even to this day; refunds made available through Steam and other platforms, and much more.

The petition also states it is “signing to this petition would be like saying. ‘I would like to get a refund for this game.'”
The person who started the petition, Satoshi Nakamoto. Also declares that if the petition receives more than 50,000 signatures. One of the most influential lawyers for class action will take this case and sue EA.
The lawyer, however, not named, and there’s no proof to support the claim. However, just the petition launch just five days ago. Seven hundred people signed the petition (and it is active for three weeks or even longer). At the time of writing, the petition has more than 11,000 signatures.
Nakamoto closes this petition with a short statement: “The gaming community should not able to tolerate this type of abuse and bullying by multi-billion-dollar corporations that make fake advertisements and games that not finished.
” It is important to note that refunds of this kind don’t usually have much success. The instance in Cyberpunk 2077‘s refunds an unexpected, nearly a paradigm-shifting event. Therefore it is yet to determine how much EA or Dice ever take note of the petition.
However, the rapid growth of the game shows how invested people feel in this Battlefield game as a cherished FPS. And it’s a long-running rival with Call of Duty and Call of Duty. As well as how many people are feeling disappointed due to launch.
It’s hoped that Battlefield 2042 could turn things around. However, given the latest developments, it’s not likely to one of the top industry “redemption” games.
