Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the “Aatmanirbhar Bharat Application Innovation Challenge” on Saturday to make it easier for technology experts and the startup community to create world-class Made in India applications. The challenge is an effort by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and the Atal Innovation Mission. In another tweet, Prime Minister Modi urged the tech community to participate.
“This challenge is for you if you have such a functional product or if you feel like you have the vision and experience to create such products. I urge all my friends in the tech community to get involved. Sharing my thoughts in my @LinkedIn post.” He tweeted attaching the LinkedIn post.
In his LinkedIn post, PM Modi wrote: “Today, we are seeing great interest and enthusiasm among the ecosystem of start-ups and technology to innovate, develop and promote local applications. Today, when the entire nation is working to create an Aatmanirbhar Bharat, it is a good opportunity to guide your efforts, boost your hard work and advise your talent to develop applications that can satisfy our market and compete with the world. ”
He wrote that this challenge would unfold on two tracks: promoting existing applications and developing new applications.
Track-01 will work in mission mode to identify good quality leaderboard applications and will be completed in about a month.
