PM Modi Request To People

On Monday, just a few minutes before the beginning of Assembly elections in Goa, Uttarakhand, and parts of Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged voters to cast their ballots in huge numbers and make the celebration of democracy more effective.

“Polling will be conducted throughout Uttarakhand, Goa, and in areas in Uttar Pradesh. I urge all people who can vote to do so in record numbers, which will increase the celebration of democratic values,” PM Modi tweeted.

The vote on Assembly election across Goa, Uttarakhand, and parts of Uttar Pradesh will begin on Monday.

In Uttar Pradesh, the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) is the government that is in charge in all of these states.

Uttar Pradesh, where elections will be held for 403 assembly constituencies over seven phases, voters will begin voting for the second phase this morning.

The first phase of voting was held on the 10th of February.

As Goa and Uttarakhand will have the entire Assembly seats of 40 and 70 going to the polls in one phase, voting will take place in the 55 seats of assembly located in Uttar Pradesh today.
