PM’s Jibe At Congress: A Decade Lost “In Nepotism, Policy Paralysis, and Scams”

On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked the Congress, saying that a decade had been wasted “in nepotism, policy stagnation, and scandals” and that the BJP-led administration had restored trust in the youth’s ability to innovate and established a suitable environment for the creation of startups.

The Prime Minister launched the Madhya Pradesh Startup Policy through video conferencing at the Madhya Pradesh Startup Conclave in Indore, noting that there were only 300-400 businesses in 2014. Still, India now has 70,000 recognized startups after eight years.

“There was always a desire to try something new in India. It happened to us during the IT revolution. A directive should have been provided to channel the environment produced by it, but this did not happen. We’ve seen how a decade was squandered on nepotism, policy gridlock, and frauds. In a decade, this shattered the hopes of a generation. Our kids have ideas and are willing to innovate, but they have been left perplexed by past administrations’ lack of clear policies, “he remarked.

The Prime Minister said that the BJP-led administration restored the spirit of creativity among India’s youth after entering power in 2014.

“We rekindled the spirit of invention among India’s young after 2014. We concentrated on “thought, innovation, and industry.” To begin, we invested in infrastructure, decreased compliance requirements, and fostered a more expansive, inventive approach. We worked on several fronts and hosted Hackathons, “he remarked.

PM Modi said that the country’s startups are not restricted to metropolitan areas.

“There were only 300-400 companies in 2014, but we now have 70,000 recognized businesses and are the third biggest ecosystem after eight years. These businesses are not confined to metropolitan areas. He stated that around half of all startups are located in Tier 2 or Tier 3 locations “he said. He claims that a new unicorn is born every 7-8 days in this country.

He said there is a proactive startup strategy and equally dedicated startup leadership in the nation, noting that the country’s growth is gaining fresh speed thanks to the vitality of the young.

He said that the country’s startup narrative had changed dramatically in the last eight years.

He claims that startups provide solutions to real-world issues and that today’s startups will become future multinational corporations.

PM Modi said that the notion of a startup was first explored by a few individuals eight years ago and is now being debated by the whole public. He claims that this shift is the consequence of a well-planned strategy.

PM Modi mentioned a three-pronged strategy for advancing the sector, including a path that runs from concept through innovation to the industry.

He added that the concept of “idea, invent, incubate, and industry” was the initial component of the plan, and institutions connected to these processes were formed and reinforced.
