Police Arrested Senior UP Official for Teacher Exam Paper Leak.
A former secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Exam Regulatory Authority was arrested by officials from the state’s Special Task Force on Wednesday for allegedly ordering the printing of the UP Teacher Eligibility Test to a company without adhering to the secrecy provisions in the process.
Sanjay Kumar Upadhyay was arrested by the investigation team in Lucknow, two days after he was suspended from his post.
A statement said his Noida unit had arrested the director of the printing company RSM Finserve, Anup Rai, on November 29 after finding him involved in the leak of the UP TET exam paper, leading to his cancellation.
Anup Rai had been arrested on the basis of revelations made earlier by other defendants arrested in the case.
Upon questioning by Anup Rai, it emerged that Upadhyay was also involved in the paper leak as the printer tasked with printing the question papers did not have a secure press and had done the work with the other four presses.
