Naresh Vats, a reporter for the Hindustan Post, has filed a complaint with the police at the Parliament Street station. Vats says that he was denied entry to a press conference by Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann because he didn’t have an accreditation card from the Press Information Bureau.
In his complaint, Mr. Vats said that the security guards at the venue hit him when he questioned their decision not to let him into the press conference.
“As recently, journalists have been harassed in many different states run by parties from all over the world. People who work in journalism should not have to deal with things like this, “C K Nayak, the president of the Press Association, told the story.
