Princess Mako’s Boyfriend arrives in Japan to marry her.
Japanese Princess Mako’s partner Komuro Kei landed on the nation’s island after a trip to Japan from the US on Monday, after three years. Preparations are being made for the couple to be married.
A daughter from Japan’s royal family is set to marry Kei. However, they will declare the date in October.
Mr. Kei is princess Mako’s high school boyfriend. We saw him earlier on Sunday as he boarded his flight in the New York’s John F Kennedy International Airport with a formal suit.
He arrived in Japan on Monday afternoon and will remain in Japan for two weeks before returning to Princess Akira for the first time in 2018.
Mr. Kei was a resident of America US about three years earlier following being accepted into the law school and later being granted an attorney’s license within New York state.
The wedding has been delayed for several years due to financial disputes. Princess Mako will lose her status as a princess to marry the commoner and her classmate from college.
The princess had earlier chose to skip an unspecified amount of $1.35mn (at least, PS985,000) in the face of the growing public outrage about getting married to a non-imperial couple.
According to sources, the royal wedding ceremonies performed by the famous family members for the wedding – which includes the engagement ceremony – will take place according to local reports.
Prince crown Akishino – the father of princess Mako and the grand emperor’s son – has said that parents should be respectful of the wishes of their children to get married and pointed out the Constitutional clause that requires the consent of both male and female.
The union was earlier hit with the wall when a dispute over finances flared up between Mr. Kei’s mother and her ex-fiance.
The Japanese royal succession law that entrusts lineage to male family members allows women to forfeit their imperial status in marriage outside the circle royal.
Following the wedding, they are scheduled to relocate to New York and spend their wedding day there.
