The Indian Express had first reported on Dandiwal’s alleged ties to the league, which was allegedly held in Sri Lanka in late June, but was actually played in Sawara, a town near Chandigarh.
In Australia, the Sydney Morning Herald had reported last month that investigators accused him of arranging tennis tournaments in Brazil, Egypt and Thailand.

“With regard to the betting and settlement cases of tennis matches being investigated by the Victoria Police, we are ready to join any investigation or investigation if they approach us,” said Chahal.
When asked about the bogus “UVA T20 league,” Chahal claimed that Dandiwal revealed during questioning that he had taken the grounds of the Cricket Strokers Association in Sawara for rent through his associates to conduct the tournament.
“His modus operandi was to take the rent, manage players, and stream those matches through apps like Fancode, Diamond, Sky, Lotus, Tenbet, Spin, etc.,” Chahal said, adding that Dandiwal had allegedly organized similar matches in Amritsar. , Mohali and Bhopal
“Our research has revealed that he used to visit many countries like Nepal, Sri Lanka, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates in the past, and he was mostly on the move. I had been in contact with some bookmakers in Delhi, but it is not clear whether I was working for them or running a different union, “said the SSP.
Dandiwal, who describes himself as the “Secretary-General of the Cricket Council of India” on his social media profiles, took the players to Australia in 2016 and Sri Lanka in 2017, police said.
“He also formed the Thailand Lawn Tennis Association and held matches (in that country) … BCCI contacted us regarding him in 2017 and 2018, and we were vigilant,” said Chahal.
