Before elections in the Punjab Assembly polls, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said on Thursday that the former Chief Minister, Captain Amarinder Singh, was removed from his post because he was not willing to offer free electricity for the poor.

At a rally for the public here, Rahul Gandhi said, “I will tell you why Captain Amarinder Singh was removed as the Chief Minister of Punjab. He did not agree to provide free electricity to the poor people. He said I have a contract with the power supplying companies.”
Concerning the menace of drugs in the state About the state’s drug problem, the Congress leader said, I constantly said that drugs pose an issue for the nation.
I’m repeating this time and again. Punjab does not constitute a place where experiments can be conducted.
Growth and development are unimportant in Punjab as long as drugs continue to destroy the lives of the youth in the province.
The voting in Punjab will be held in one phase in February.
The results will be counted on March 10.
