Congress head Rahul Gandhi will be in Uttarakhand this Saturday (February 5, 2022) to speak at an online state rally slated for an election.
The Congress trip of the leader is thought of as a way to improve the morale of employees of the party in the state before the state’s assembly election.
Uttarkhand Congress in-charge Devender Yadav said that Gandhi would conduct an online poll for the Haridwar in addition to Haldwani Assembly seats.
“Rahul Gandhi will visit Uttarakhand on the 5th of February. He will be holding an online poll at Haridwar as well as Haldwani,” Yadav told ANI.
Additionally, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has released her Congress declaration for the Uttarakhand elections on Wednesday.
The manifesto pledged to provide 40 percent of the jobs available to women in the police force and positions for four lakh people and establish a tourism police force.
The manifesto titled ‘Uttarakhand Swabhiman Pratigya Patra ‘ also promises that women will be given priority in government posts and cap LPG costs at Rs 500.
Uttarakhand will be voting on December 14, and the count of votes will be conducted in March.
