Rajnath Singh Praises Delhi Police For ‘Effectively Carrying Out Additional Responsibilities’
Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday praised the Delhi police for “effectively carrying out additional responsibilities”. The minister today presented the trophies of the top contingents from this year’s Republic Day parade to the Jat Regimental Center and the Delhi Police.
The Jat Regiment Center took the trophy for the best marching contingent among the tri-services, while the Delhi Police was awarded the best marching contingent among the Central Police Armed Forces (CAPF) and other auxiliary services.
In his speech at the event, Singh praised the “courage and bravery” of the Jat Regiment Center and praised the Delhi Police for “effectively carrying out additional responsibilities”.
Singh said: “Delhi is the nerve center of the Republic of India, so it is in the target of our adversaries.
It is commendable that, in addition to ensuring the safety and well-being of the national capital from internal and external threats, the Delhi Police regularly win the trophy for the best contingent on the move.
The minister said the January 26 march by different contingents during the Republic Day parade symbolizes the country’s unity in diversity and reflects the sense of national pride and readiness of the security forces.
Also present at the event were the Chief of the Defense Staff, General Bipin Rawat, the Chief Admiral of the Navy Karambir Singh, the Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria, the Chief General of the Army MM Naravane and the Secretary of Defense Ajay Kumar.
