AB de Villiers, Kieron Pollard, and Ishan Kishan achieved six giants.
Since its inception in 2008, the Indian Premier League has been one of the best platforms for some of the game’s biggest hits.
In the 13 editions thus far, the cash-rich league has entertained cricket fans to the fullest with gripping bat-and-ball competition, but ultimately, those monstrous sixes are the ones that wow the audience.
Hitting a six is an art and not many players are lucky enough to do it. But if there are a couple of names that can be considered exponents of this art form, they stand out AB de Villiers from RCB and Kieron Pollard from MI.
Known for his 360-degree stroke play, his participation on this list comes as no surprise.
Jasprit Bumrah of Mumbai employed an interesting tactic against ABD in which he continued to launch himself into AB’s body rather than off the stump, trying to get him to generate the rhythm. However, any small errors in length and the Proteas batter pounced on him immediately. When Bumrah opted for a long delivery, De Villiers absolutely muscular on a deep square leg for a gigantic six. This hit also raised his fifty.
The way ABD gave this six to Bumrah, it’s just a dream for all cricketers to hit Bumrah like this …!

De Villiers, who used all his might during the death overs to fight his way to 55 unbeaten with 24 balls, pushing the score past the 200-run mark. His innings had four sixes and as many limits as Jasprit Bumrah’s swift but brutal assault (0/42 in 4 overs) will be long remembered.
Kieron Pollard takes action
Pollard’s 50 of 20 balls against RCB brought Mumbai back into the game. This was Pollard’s sixth IPL fifty in 22 balls or less and his blitzkrieg featured five monstrous hits. Pollard was particularly deadly against the two RCB players: Yuzvendra Chahal and Adam Zampa. At one point, Pollard had 11 out of 10 balls and then completed fifty in just 20 balls.
Ishan Kishan’s great success
Ishan Kishan didn’t want to be left behind and joined the party with his own lustful blows. Kishan, who was making a comeback, on the Mumbai side took responsibility for keeping the score going when others failed around him and he was ultimately fired by a brilliant 99.
