Actor Rhea Chakraborty Satish Maneshinde’s lawyer said they are “satisfied with the outcome of the hearing” at the Supreme Court in Sushant Singh Rajput case of death. In a statement, Maneshide said: “The Petition in SC will be heard next week. Meanwhile, all interested parties must submit their responses. The State of Maharashtra is directed to place all investigative steps taken in the case before the SC. We are satisfied with the result of the hearing. In view of the pending proceedings at SC Rhea or anyone on their behalf, please refrain from commenting on the case.”
Earlier during the Supreme Court Hearing, the superior court requested the governments of Maharashtra and Bihar and Sushant’s father, KK Singh, to respond to Rhea’s request to transfer the FIR filed in Patna to Mumbai. The main court has also ordered the Mumbai Police to submit a status report on the investigation carried out so far in the death case. The next hearing will take place next week.
Meanwhile, the Center informed the Supreme Court that it had accepted the Bihar government’s recommendation for the CBI investigation into the actor’s death.
The superior court, in its order, gave all parties three days to register their respective position. He also noted that the Mumbai police must submit their records of the investigations carried out so far. Judge Hrishikesh Roy, hearing arguments about a plea from Sushant’s girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty, who was seeking the transfer of the Patna case to Mumbai, said, “There has been a very unfortunate incident.”
Chief attorney Vikas Singh, who appeared for Sushant’s father, objected to the appeal. Singh argued that the evidence was being manipulated. “It is in everyone’s interest that the truth is revealed,” said Judge Roy, who also detained the Maharashtra government for quarantining for 14 days a Bihar police officer, who was specially sent to Mumbai to lead a team of four people in the investigation. The Maharashtra government’s lawyer insisted that there was no destruction of evidence in the case.
