Rishabh Pant and Garani tested positive for Covid 19

Rishabh Pant and Garani tested positive for Covid 19.

The Indian cricket team, currently operating in England, has been affected by the dreaded coronavirus. Wicketkeeper-hitter Rishabh Pant and training assistant/net pitcher Dayanand Garani tested positive for Covid-19. Three others – bowling coach Bharath Arun, reserve goalkeeper Wriddhiman Saha and Abhimanyu Easwaran – will undergo 10-day isolation after coming into contact with Garani.

All four staff members will undergo 10-day isolation and will remain in their respective rooms at the team’s London hotel.

Pant is nearing the end of his self-quarantine period. Pant, who had not stayed at the team’s hotel during the rest period, tested positive on July 8. He is asymptomatic and is currently in self-isolation in the place where he reported positive. He is being closely monitored by the BCCI medical team and is on the way to recovery.

You will be able to join the team in Durham after returning two negative RT-PCR tests.

The entire Indian contingent, including traveling relatives and caregivers, received the second dose of the covid vaccine earlier this month in London. To mitigate any additional risk, the Indian contingent is taking the lateral flow test on a daily basis.

The rest of the team, without Pant and the injured Shubman Gill, departed for Durham on Thursday from London, where they will begin their preparations for the upcoming five-match Test series against England with a three-day preparation game at Emirates Riverside against County XI. starting Tuesday.
