Ex-teammates say that Australian cricket legend Rodney Marsh has died after having a heart attack while playing for charity.
This is how it works: The former player, who played in 96 Tests, died in a hospital in Adelaide. Marsh was widely thought to be one of the best wicketkeepers ever to play the game. He died on Friday.
A few of Dennis Lillee’s wickets led to Marsh’s 355 dismissals, a world record.

Marsh made his debut in 1970 and retired in 1984 with the record for most Test dismissals.
He was the first wicketkeeper in Australia to score a hundred in a Test match, and he did it.
After he was done playing, Marsh was the head of the Australian Cricket Academy, where he helped train many Test players, including Ricky Ponting and Justin Langer. He then became the chairman of the selectors.
Ex-captain Ian Chappell told Channel Nine that everyone who played with or against Marsh liked him.
“It wasn’t just his playing skills, though that was a big part of it.”
People knew where they stood with Rod because he always told them what he thought, and they could handle that because he was honest.
Cricket Tasmania said it was “extremely saddened” to learn about Rod Marsh’s death and that it was “deeply shocked.”
“Rod is a big part of Australian cricket, and his death is a big loss for the game all over the world,” it said.
Her name is Roslyn. Marsh has three sons, Daniel and Paul.
A charity event in Queensland state had been going on for a few days last week when he fell ill.
On Monday, his son Paul said that his father was still in an “induced coma.”
