Russian forces launched missiles and troops in several cities of Ukraine this Thursday (February 24, 2022), the media and government officials confirmed.
This development came moments after Russian President Vladimir Putin authorized what he described as a “special operational military mission” in the eastern region.
After Putin addressed the nation in a live speech broadcast on Russian state TV, explosions were heard in the quiet of the early morning in Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital city.

Gunfire echoed around the capital’s main airport. The capital’s main airport was rattled.
The Interfax news agency reported that sirens were heard throughout the city.
“Putin is just launching an all-out invasion of Ukraine. “The peaceful Ukrainian cities are on strike,” Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba announced on Twitter.
“This is an offensive war. The world has the ability and obligation to stop Putin. But Ukraine will fight back and win. The moment to take action now.” he said.
