Russia’s Rusal will Investigate Bucha Killings.
On Thursday, the chairman of Russian aluminum company Rusal asked for an independent inquiry into the massacre of civilians in Bucha, Ukraine, which he termed a crime. He demanded an end to the “fratricidal” violence.
While Chairman Bernard Zonneveld, a Dutch national, did not address who was to blame for the town’s civilian casualties, it is uncommon for a significant Russian corporation to openly remarks on the conflict.
After the remains of civilians shot at close range were discovered in the town of Bucha during a Russian retreat, Ukraine and numerous Western nations accused Moscow of war crimes.

The Kremlin claims its soldiers were involved in the fatalities, calling Western accusations of war crimes by Russian forces a “monstrous falsification” on Tuesday.
According to Zonneveld, news from the town astounded him.
“We support an objective and unbiased investigation of this crime and demand that the offenders be severely punished,” he stated.
“We all hope for an end to this fratricidal violence, which has claimed the lives of individuals, families, and entire communities,” he remarked.
“We also want individuals who commit such atrocities to be held accountable.”
Oleg Deripaska, the founder of Rusal, stated last month that the situation in Ukraine was “madness” that would bring dishonor to future generations.
