Sachin Tendulkar is discharged from the hospital to continue the recovery from COVID in home isolation

Former India captain and hitting icon Sachin Tendulkar, who was hospitalized as a precautionary measure after testing positive for COVID-19, was released Thursday and is now recovering in home isolation here.

The former player, who will turn 48 later this month, posted a statement on Twitter to confirm the development.

“I just got home from the hospital and will remain in isolation as I continue to rest and recover. I would like to thank everyone for all the good wishes and prayers. I really appreciate it, ”Tendulkar said.

Tendulkar also thanked the medical staff for caring for him during his hospitalization.

“I am always grateful to all the medical staff who took such good care of me and have worked tirelessly for over a year under such difficult circumstances,” said Tendulkar.

Tendulkar was hospitalized on April 2 as a precautionary measure after testing positive for the dreaded virus on March 27.

However, all the other members of his family tested negative.

The legendary right-handed hitter had participated in the veteran’s Road Safety World Series Challenge tournament in Raipur last month. The announcement led the Indian team to victory in that event.
