Samsung Galaxy Buds Live True Wireless Earphones With Active Noise Cancellation Launched, Priced at $169.99

The true Samsung Galaxy Buds Live wireless headphones have been released globally alongside the Galaxy Note 20 series. The Galaxy Buds Live headphones are the first from Samsung to feature active noise cancellation and come after months of rumors and leaks that surround the bean-shaped premium wireless headphones. Priced at $ 169.99 (approximately Rs. 12,700), the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live rivals iconic options like Apple AirPods Pro, Sony WF-1000XM3, and Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2, but at a much more affordable price level.

Samsung Galaxy Buds Live specifications and features

The Samsung Galaxy Buds Live are available in three colors: black, bronze and white, and have 12mm drivers with AKG adjustment. There are three microphones (two on the outside of the headphones and one on the inside). Like previous Samsung Galaxy Buds true wireless headphones, Buds Live uses Bluetooth v5.0 for connectivity and supports scalable SBC, AAC, and Bluetooth codecs. The design features an external ear fit that is said to allow for ambient listening while also offering noise cancellation.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds Live case has a USB Type-C port for charging, while the headphones have 60 mAh batteries each and the case has a 472 mAh battery. Samsung claims up to 29 hours of battery life per charge cycle, and only the headphones run up to 8 hours per charge. There’s also a quick charge, promising 1 hour of playtime with a five-minute charge. The headphones are IPX2 rated for water resistance and work with Samsung’s Bixby voice assistant.

In addition to active noise cancellation, the new Samsung Galaxy Buds Live also features Qi wireless charging for the case, touch controls, and app-based personalization through the Samsung Galaxy Buds app for iOS and Galaxy Wearable app for Android. The app allows users to control noise cancellation, adjust equalizer settings, customize touch controls, and view battery levels in both the headphones and the charging case.

Samsung Galaxy Buds Live price and availability

Priced at $ 169.99 (approximately Rs. 12,700), the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live is much more affordable than the competitive active noise-canceling options from major brands like Apple and Sony. The headphones will go on sale on August 6 in select global markets. There is no word yet on India’s pricing and availability for the Samsung Galaxy Buds, which could be revealed in the coming days.
