Shahana Model in Kerala Found Hanging At Home on Her Birth Day.
Shahana, a model and actress, died under strange circumstances at her Parambil Bazar home, 14 kilometers from here.
On Thursday night, she was discovered hanging from the window railing, according to police.
According to India Today, Shahana’s husband Sajjad has been brought into jail for interrogation after her mother Uveyma accused her of murder.
It was Shahana’s twentieth birthday, according to her mother.

“On Thursday evening, Shahana phoned us… She informed me that she would be having her birthday party at her home. She was overjoyed. Mathrubhumi cited Uveyma as adding, “I don’t believe she committed suicide.”
“Sajjad threatened to kill Shahana if she refused to give over the check she had gotten for an advertising,” Uveyma claimed, accusing Sajjad of killing her.
“We have learned that they got into an argument about a check she received for modeling.”
As a result, according to his story, she hung herself from the window. “We’re looking into whether her actions were sufficient to cause death,” ACP Sudharshan informed the reporters.
Shahana began modeling after marrying Sajjad, a Kozhikode local, a year and a half ago. She was also offered roles in Tamil films.
Sajjad was employed in Qatar, but according to Uveyma, he refused to return until Shahana began making decent money.
Her mother said that “he also spent a lot of her earned money.”
Sajjad’s family had requested 25 sovereigns in gold as dowry, according to Shahana’s relatives. Sajjad reportedly continued to pressure Shahana’s family for additional money after marriage. Sajjad and his family also refused to let Shahana’s mother see her.
