Shiv Sena urges Centre to recall Maharashtra Governor

The Shiv Sena, who is in power in Maharashtra, on Saturday accused State Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari of following the BJP line and said that if the Center wants the Constitution to be respected, it should withdraw it.

The party also claimed that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) distribution is stable and strong, adding that the Center cannot use the governor’s shoulders to target the state government.

“Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari is making news again. He has been in politics for the past few years. He was a union minister and also the prime minister of Uttarakhand. However, since he became governor of Maharashtra, he has always remained in the news or has been the subject of controversy, ”said Sena in an editorial in the spokesman ‘Saamana’.

“Why is it always landing controversies is a question. Recently, it’s in the news about the use of a state government plane. The governor wanted to go to Dehradun using the state plane. But the government denied him permission. He sat on the plane Thursday morning, but since the plane was not approved to fly, he had to disembark and take a commercial flight to Dehradun, ”he said.

The opposition BJP is creating a problem. But why did the governor sit on the plane even when the government had not given its approval for him to fly? The party asked.
It was a private tour of the governor and by law not only the governor but even the prime minister cannot use a state plane for such purposes. The Office of the Chief Minister (OCM) has acted in accordance with the law, he said.

“But opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis accused the state government of being selfish. The country knows who is indulging in ego politics. Despite the deaths of more than 200 farmers during the ongoing protest on the Delhi borders over the three agricultural laws, the government is unwilling to withdraw them. Isn’t it ego? “asked the party led by Uddhav Thackeray.

A governor must follow the agenda of the government in office and not that of the opposition, he added.

The Sena also criticized the delay in the approval by the governor of 12 names recommended by the state cabinet for his nomination to the Legislative Council of his quota.
“The governor is acting like a puppet,” he alleged.

The Governor of Maharashtra is an honorable person. But it is also your responsibility to maintain the prestige of the position you occupy. However, he is forced to dance to BJP’s tunes, he said.

“If the Ministry of the Interior of the Union wants the Constitution, laws and regulations to be respected, it must call the governor,” he said.
