Shontel Brown ceremonially assumed office in front of the electors.
CLEVELAND – One of Ohio’s newest congressional representatives took the ceremonial oath before her new constituents today.
Congresswoman Shontel Brown pledged to faithfully fulfill her duties to represent Ohio’s 11th District before a supportive crowd at the Church of the Word on Cleveland’s east side (as seen in the video at the top of the story ).
Brown was officially taken into office earlier this month by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during a ceremony at the United States Capitol.
She now occupies the position that Marcia Fudge vacated when she accepted the position of Secretary of Housing and Urban Development of the United States.
