Singapore’s COVID-19 daily cases double to over 13,000.
SINGAPORE: Singapore recorded a record number of 13,046 coronavirus-related infections in the local area on Friday, more than triple the number of infections reported on Thursday.
Singapore has reported an estimated 85,357 instances of the disease during the past 28 days.

However, 99.7 percent of them had no or minimal symptoms.
The country has been fully vaccinated against 99% of the population against COVID-19. In addition, 59% of them have received booster shots.
Authorities have warned previously that daily incidences could climb to as high as 15,000 due to the transmitted Omicron variant.
