Sioux Falls woman charged with falsely reporting shooting.
SIOUX FALLS – A Sioux Falls woman was charged with false allegations after submitting a false report of a person with a gunshot wound to the chest because she wanted to contact a police detective.
The 48-year-old woman first called 911 Thursday afternoon, asking to be put in contact with the detective. Dispatch told him they couldn’t give the number. Police say the woman said she would call again. He then called 911 twice to report that someone had been shot in the chest.
