Some backyard games are recalled due to entrapment hazards

Some backyard games are recalled due to entrapment hazards.

Backyard gaming systems are remembering some games with wooden roofs about a possible entrapment hazard.

According to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, children could be “trapped in the space between the bottom of the roof structure and the bottom of the table decoration.”

The recall affects Backyard Play Systems’ outdoor games with a wood roof. Products are under the Yardline Play Systems (Turbo Racer, Cloud Racer models) and Gorilla Playsets (Captain’s Fort, Fort Highlander models) brands.

The games were sold online at Costco.com from March 2019 through May 2021 (Turbo Racer, Cloud Racer) and Lowes.com from December 2020 through May 2021 (Captain’s Fort, Fort Highlander) for approximately $ 1,000.

Anyone who owns one of these products should immediately stop using it and contact Backyard play systems for a free repair kit, including replacement wood parts, hardware, and instructions.

If someone is unable or unwilling to do the repairs themselves, the company will dispatch a representative to do the repairs free of charge.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
