Aiden Markram Makes South Africa easy win in T20 against Pakistan
South Africa starter Aiden Markram marked an energetic half-century when the hosts leveled the four-game Twenty20 International series against Pakistan with a six-wicket victory in Game 2 at The Wanderers on Monday.
Pakistan chose to hit, but some poor shots saw them restricted to 140-for-nine in their 20 overs, well below par on one of the best hitting grounds in world cricket.
South Africa never seemed concerned in their response, reaching their goal with 36 balls remaining in a complete victory for a team that does not have seven leading players who are injured or released to play in the Indian Premier League.
Pakistan’s innings got off to a somewhat odd start when fit starter Mohammad Rizwan danced down the wicket towards left-arm spinner George Linde (3-23) from the first ball and was easily caught in midfield by Markram.

Captain Babar Azam (50 of 50 balls) and Mohammad Hafeez (32 of 23) were the only hitters to score above 12, as closer Lizaad Williams (3-35) and leg shooter Tabraiz Shamsi ( 1-22) cast excellent spells. for the local team.
Markram led the response when he threw 54 of 30 balls, with 46 of his runs in bounds as he broke seven fours and three sixes in an aggressive performance.
Substitute skipper Heinrich Klaasen (36 of 21 balls) saw his side to victory when he added 49 on 3.4 overs in a fifth-field partnership with Linde (20 of 10).
