There will be a regulatory investigation into the SpiceJet flight turbulence incident on Sunday, which left at least 14 passengers and three cabin crew members hurt.
The SpiceJet Boeing B737 plane, which was flying from Mumbai to Durgapur on Sunday, encountered a lot of turbulence as it was coming down.
It was, however, safe when the plane landed at Durgapur airport in West Bengal. The injured were taken to the hospital right away for treatment.

Some of the passengers had head injuries and received stitches, while one passenger said he had a spinal injury in the accident, the DGCA said. Three cabin crew members were also hurt.
“We are putting together teams for a regulatory investigation, and medical reports on the injured passengers are still coming in,” it said.
Meanwhile, SpiceJet has apologized for the accident.
