SSR Case: Patna IPS Officer Vinay Tiwari 'Forcibly Quarantined' in Mumbai

New Delhi: Vinay Tiwari, the Patna IPS officer who arrived in Patna on official duty to lead the Bihar police team investigating a case related to the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, was forcibly quarantined on Sunday by officials of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Addressing Twitter, Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey said: “Tiwari arrived in Mumbai from Patna on official duty to lead the police team there, but was quarantined by BMC officials at 11 pm on Sunday. provided him with accommodation in the IPS disaster, despite the request, and he was staying in a guest house in Goregaon. ”

In particular, Tiwari, currently posted as the City SP (East) in Patna, was dispatched to Mumbai yesterday to assist the four-member team of the Bihar Police in Mumbai who complained about the lack of cooperation from the Police of Mumbai in the investigation.

On June 14, the Bollywood actor was found hanging in his Bandra apartment in Mumbai, after which the Mumbai police began investigating the case. Almost 40 people have been recorded, including those from the actor’s family, his cook, and people from the film industry, including filmmaker Aditya Chopra, director, and producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Bihar police also launched their investigation on July 25, following an FIR by Krishna Kishore Singh (Sushant’s father) against Bollywood actor Rhea Chakraborty and his relatives.
