Mitchell Marsh, Mitchell Starc, and Marcus Stoinis will not be available for Australia for the three-match T20 International tour of India owing to injuries, which were ruled out for the group on Wednesday.
Starc has been dealing with a knee problem, but Marsh and Stoinis are out with ankle and side problems, respectively.
Despite the injuries being minor, Cricket Australia decided not to risk the players since the T20 World Cup will be contested at home beginning next month, according to cricket.com.au.
The most recent news will severely reduce the Australian team since David Warner has already been sidelined for the trip.
Starc, Marsh, and Stoinis have been replaced by Nathan Ellis, Daniel Sams, and Sean Abbott by the Australian selection committee.
Marsh and Stoinis were out for the whole ODI series against Zimbabwe and New Zealand due to injury, while Starc was recently removed after a diagnostic on his knee on Wednesday.
Three Twenty20 matches between Australia and the host nation of India will take place at Mohali, Nagpur, and Hyderabad between September 20 and September 25.
Australia will play the T20 series against the West Indies and England in the run-up to the T20 World Cup after their quick trip to India.
