States with abortion rights expect to see a surge in protesters.
A future border conflict between states with opposing views on abortion has been sparked by the Supreme Court’s decision to reverse Roe v. Wade. While neighboring Idaho is prepared to enact among the nation’s harshest laws, Washington State just extended abortion rights.
Outside a clinic in Spokane, Washington, there were pro-life protestors present. Idaho only has three abortion clinics, although the state has 40.
According to Karl Eastlund of Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and Northern Idaho, “they’re here almost every day.” “They make regular attempts to intimidate and harass our workers. Protesters have followed staff members home.”
Idaho’s governor on Friday applauded the Supreme Court for standing up for “preborn kids who need protection” in a statement.

Gov. Jay Inslee of Washington said, “We are going to fight like hell to maintain Washington a pro-choice state!” in opposition.
According to the Guttmacher Institute, Washington is anticipating a roughly 400% increase in abortion patients.
Additionally, Planned Parenthood said that approximately 60% of patients traveling to Washington for treatment are from Idaho. Others have traveled from Texas for more than 20 hours.
Mother-of-two Elisabeth Keifer-Kraus expressed her gratitude to CBS News for saving her from having to fly out of state for an abortion. She claimed that two early pregnancies had to be terminated due to life-threatening circumstances.
“Without the time, I would have passed away in a vehicle on the side of the road while attempting to go to a place where I could seek aid. And it is the future we will soon encounter, “said Keifer-Kraus.
According to the National Abortion Federation, attacks against abortion providers have increased 128 percent nationwide.
