Steam Deck now has almost 1000 games: It’s been more than a week since the Steam Deck came out, and most people think it’s a great device that can play P.C. games on the go. There’s also the chance that future systems will improve on the format.
Valve has also shown that by announcing Aperture Desk Job, it can still make exciting and playable games on its own handheld devices. Also, there’s been some more talk about how many games are now playable and approved for it.
In a post from the company itself on the Steam site, it looks like there are now more than 1,000 games that work with the Steam Deck. If you go to Steam Deck Verified, which tracks games that work with the system, the current total is 1,057. The post doesn’t give an exact number. Of those, 559 have proven to be accurate, and 498 are playable.
The post says that it is tough to get verified or playable. When games approve for the Steam Deck, they are fully compatible with the device, and there are no bugs in them. This is what makes the difference.

Some can play, and they should run on the Deck without having trouble at all. However, during playtesting, some people may have problems with the game. “Unsupported” is what Steam says will happen when something like an in-game asset crashes or a video doesn’t work. This is only for now.
Work has been going well, even though there was a two-month delay. It wasn’t long ago that there were only 240 games approved for the Steam Deck. That was still a lot of progress, but it’s a long way from the 50,000 games in Steam’s catalogue.
It looks like the device itself has been doing well, at least in general. People are excited about the Linux-based portable P.C. because Valve is already working on a follow-up. Most likely, there will be more models. At first, it thought of as a competitor to the Nintendo Switch. As time went on, it became clear that the Stream Deck was a step toward a new era of mobile gaming.
